A new opening, expansion or renovation should begin with a statement of needs rather than a shopping list. The following questions help create a clearer starting point for a discovery conversation.

01

Where and how do guests connect?

Consider rooms, the lobby, restaurants, meeting spaces and outdoor areas separately. Record expected users and devices at busy times, recurring complaints and areas where connectivity matters most.

02

What in-room experience do you want?

TV models, channel requirements, IPTV management and telephony should be considered together. If retaining devices is a priority, prepare a list of models and quantities before discovery.

03

Which applications run in the back office?

Create an inventory of hotel applications, servers, internet connections and backup processes. Explaining which application depends on which resource helps clarify project scope.

04

When can the work take place?

Share operating constraints such as occupancy, season openings, renovation and team access. Agree on a timetable for pilot areas, rollout, acceptance criteria and staff training.
